Terms of Business

In these Terms of Business, the following definitions apply: "Agency" means George Arthur Consultants Ltd trading as GAC Tech; "Client" means any person, firm, company or other entity to whom a Candidate is Introduced; "Candidate" means any person introduced to the Client by the Agency for the purpose of permanent or contract employment; "Introduction" means the provision to the Client of a Candidate's details, curriculum vitae or other identifying information, whether by email, telephone, in writing, in person or by any other means; "Engagement" means the engagement, employment or use of a Candidate by the Client or any third party on a permanent or contract basis, whether under a contract of service or for services; "Remuneration" means the total gross annual remuneration payable to a Candidate in respect of a permanent Engagement, including base salary, guaranteed bonuses, allowances, sign-on payments and any other taxable benefits; and "Contract Value" means the total fees payable to a Candidate or contractor over the duration of a contract Engagement.

These terms apply to every Introduction and any resulting Engagement. They override any terms put forward by the Client unless expressly agreed in writing by a director of the Agency. No variation shall be effective unless agreed in writing.

The Client shall be deemed to have accepted these terms by interviewing or engaging a Candidate, or by passing a Candidate's details to any associated company or third party, following an Introduction.
